Introduction to Draftboard: Revolutionizing the Hiring Worldwide

"I started Draftboard on the premise that hiring is broken we’re here to make it better. Businesses get overwhelmed with job applications, but most are useless - only 3% even make it to a phone call. Candidates send out loads of applications, hoping one sticks. But they're all doing the same thing as everyone else, so no one stands out."

Hey World! Welcome to Draftboard!

I started Draftboard on the premise that hiring is broken we’re here to make it better. Businesses get overwhelmed with job applications, but most are useless - only 3% even make it to a phone call. Candidates send out loads of applications, hoping one sticks. But they're all doing the same thing as everyone else, so no one stands out.

The teams that find talent and the hiring bosses are always disagreeing. Bosses moan about not finding enough good candidates; the talent teams say bosses don't say what they need, and they don't give feedback on the candidates they get. And agencies? No one likes them because they're too pricey. Why shell out $50K for a product manager?

Execs are stuck: they have to hire, but the old ways aren't cutting it.

Draftboard gets it. Everyone knows people, and companies need to tap into those connections to find the best fits for their jobs. Relying on talent teams, agencies, or employee recommendations isn't enough - companies need to level up, but in a simple, easy, and cheap way.

Draftboard is the place for that - where Scouts tap into their existing networks and earn cash for sending people they know to awesome jobs.

The way Draftboard works is pretty straightforward. Instead of just giving referral bonuses to their own staff, companies can make them available to everyone. Anyone can become a Draftboard Scout in a snap and share job openings instantly using a special link. Whether it's through WhatsApp, Slack, SMS, or email, you can easily spread the word with Draftboard. Scouts assist their friends in finding awesome jobs, uncovering opportunities for folks in their communities, and earning cash for helping companies hire top-notch employees. For companies, they receive applications that are already checked, set their own rewards, and only pay when they hire someone. There are no strings attached, no fees, and it takes only a few minutes to get their job listings up and running.

For individuals with extensive networks, large followings, or exceptional connections, Draftboard is a no-brainer. Now, they can turn their years of network-building into a source of income.

For companies accustomed to sifting through thousands of low-quality candidates, Draftboard cuts through the noise. Only the best candidates are endorsed by Scouts, eliminating the need to sift through countless resumes in search of the perfect fit.

I launched Draftboard because I saw a broken system in desperate need of fixing. Every player in the hiring game was dissatisfied with the status quo, yet there were no viable alternatives. Inspired by my wife, I recognized an opportunity to inject a human touch back into recruiting.

Rather than having talent acquisition teams bogged down in outbound sourcing and resume reviews, let them concentrate on attracting and sealing the deal with exceptional candidates while our Scouts pre-screen them for you.

Why should executives continue paying exorbitant fees to agencies when transparent incentives can shift the entire paradigm?

My vision for Draftboard is bold. One day, it will be the go-to destination for companies in search of talent. They'll understand that the quality of candidates sourced through Draftboard is so superior that it's advantageous to begin their searches there before turning to lower-quality sources. As a result, Draftboard-referred candidates will be hired at higher rates. Eventually, candidates themselves will seek out Draftboard opportunities, knowing it gives them an edge. As top-notch candidates flock to Draftboard, more companies will recognize it as the premier platform for talent, eager to join the movement.

We’ve already seen scouts and companies achieve results I dreamed of when starting Draftboard.

Shai Sober is a Scout on Draftboard - he got laid off from his job just after Covid, along with much of his team. He saw that Mento was hiring a Director of Engineering, and he knew his friend Keven would be the perfect fit. Two weeks later Kevin was hired and Shai earned $5,000.

Antoine van der Lee runs one of the largest iOS dev newsletters in the world. He was super skeptical about Draftboard when first approached, but decided to give it a shot. Over 60% of his referrals got interviews, and one has already been hired.

Sequence is a fast-growing early stage startup helping people retake control of their finances. They were expanding to the US for the first time and needed to make their first hire there. Draftboard Scout Yuval Yarden referred them to the perfect candidate and within weeks he was hired, Yuval was paid $4,000.
