In addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy contests at Draftboard are governed by the following set of rules:
Eligibility
In order to play on Draftboard you must be at least 18 years of age (21 for residents of Massachusetts, 19 for residents of Nebraska or Canada) and a resident of either the US or Canada. You must also not be physically present in any of the following states:
Users will not be allowed to add funds to their account or enter contests while present in any of the above states. Lineup edits in existing contests and/or account withdrawals are permitted.
Multiple Accounts
Each player on Draftboard is allowed one account and "multi-accounting" is expressly prohibited. If Draftboard determines that you have opened, maintained, used or controlled more than one account, any or all of your accounts may be terminated or suspended and any prizes you've won may be revoked or withheld.
Suspended Accounts
There are a variety of behaviors that are detrimental to Draftboard and other players on the Service. Engaging in those behaviors may result in suspension of some or all functions associated with your account. Suspended players are expected to respect the disciplinary actions imposed on their accounts and all communication regarding restoration of your account should take place via the [email protected] email account.
User Names
Draftboard may require users to change their usernames in cases where the name is offensive. The requirement to change will be determined at Draftboard’s sole discretion, and if requests are ignored, Draftboard may unilaterally change a player’s user name.
Highly Experienced Player
Draftboard users with over 500 contests played OR $2,500 or more in gross winnings are indicated by a star icon next to their username. Highly experienced players are not permitted to play in Beginner contests.
Partially Full Contests
In some cases you will find yourself in a contest with less than the normal amount of users present, and in rare circumstances you might be all by yourself. Prize payouts are not altered when this occurs, meaning in the latter case you would be guaranteed first place prize money for that contest no matter how your lineup performs. Please see our Fair Match page for more details.
Refunded Entries
Your first entry is guaranteed to be placed in a contest no matter how many other users registered for that contest type. Subsequent contests will only run if full. This means that your second and third entries are not guaranteed to be placed in a contest. Any entries not placed in contests will be refunded in full. Please see our Fair Match page for more details.
Contest Lock Times
Draftboard does not offer late swap and lineup edits will not be permitted after the scheduled start time for the first game of that contest block.
Maximum Entries
Draftboard contest types accept a maximum of three entries.
Canceling Entries
You may cancel entries in a contest type at any time up until lock time in the lobby on the Entries tab of a contest type’s slide out detail pane. You can also cancel entries on the reverse side of your lineup card.
Cancelled, Suspended, or Postponed Games
No fantasy points will be awarded to players in the event that a scheduled game is cancelled, suspended, preempted, or postponed to any time after the finish of the last regularly scheduled game in the contest. Players will retain any points earned in partially completed games.
Player Trades
Players accrue fantasy points regardless of the team they play for. Just make sure that the traded player’s new team is playing a game that day that is included in your contest. For example, if a draftable player is traded from New York to Boston, and Boston either does not have a game today, or their game is not included in the contest (because it was an early game on a weekday, for example) then that player will NOT accrue fantasy points in that contest.
Doubleheaders
Players will accrue fantasy points in only one of the two games in a doubleheader. The included game will be noted on the draft page.
Lineup Restrictions
You must select players from at least three games. There are no restrictions on the number of players you may select from a specific team.
Scripts
The use of any unauthorized script is prohibited on Draftboard.
Withdrawals
All withdrawals are processed through Paypal, and you can request a withdrawal at any time in your My Account section. Withdrawals can take up to 48 hours to process.
Deposits
You can make a deposit in your My Account section. We accept deposits via Paypal and credit card, both of which are processed through Paypal. You do not require a Paypal account to make a deposit via credit card through Paypal.
Contest Settlement
Contests are settled and prizes awarded according to the contest’s prize structure shortly after we receive the final box score for all games from our statistical provider. This normally takes between one to three hours after completion of the final game included in the contest.
Scoring Revisions
Contests are settled and prizes awarded shortly after we receive the final box score for all games from our statistical provider. Occasionally there will be revisions made to the final box scores by our statistical provider after this. When this occurs after our contests have settled and payouts have been processed, adjustments will not be made to contest results or prize payouts. On rare occasions problems may arise with our data feeds or settlement process due to technical issues. In such cases contests may be resettled and payouts may be corrected.
Contest Cancellation
Draftboard reserves that right to cancel contests at our discretion, without any restrictions.
