Week 16 NFL Review

The Eagles played on Christmas day this past Monday, and although they did not look good, they did manage to beat the Raiders 19-10. This win clinched home field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs for the Eagles. In the AFC, the Patriots won again which means the only thing standing between them and home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs is a week 17 matchup against the Jets. So, barring some miracle, it looks like the Patriots will sit atop the AFC once again.

Todd Gurley had another monster week. He followed up 180 total yards and four touchdowns last week with 276 total yards and two touchdowns in week 16. After two straight 40+ point weeks Gurley now leads all players in fantasy points this year. Other notable performances around the league included Dion Lewis rushing for a season-high 129 yards to go with two touchdowns. Giovanni Bernard took over for Joe Mixon after an ankle injury and put up 166 total yards with a touchdown. And of course, the Niners continue to win under Jimmy G. They walked away on Christmas eve with their biggest win of the season, upsetting Jacksonville 44-33.
