Week 15 NFL Review

Week 15 was a wild one in the fantasy world with an abundance of cheap players cashing in with big points. Giants’ receiver Tavarres King scored two touchdowns in a close game with the Eagles. Damiere Byrd took advantage of injuries to Funchess and Russell Shepard and hauled in two of Cam’s touchdown passes. Jaguars’ receiver Jaydon Mickens also found the end zone twice this week in his first taste of NFL action. Mickens’ teammate Keelan Cole also had a big week, going off for 186 receiving yards and a touchdown. That was Cole’s third straight game with a touchdown. The most interesting Jaguar this week was running back Tommy Bohanon who had two carries for two yards, and you guessed it, two touchdowns.

Todd Gurley paid off big this week, scoring four touchdowns in a blowout of the Seahawks. Gurley now has a league leading 17 touchdowns this season. Kareem Hunt scored a pair of touchdowns and had a big game for the second straight week. After a nine week scoring drought, Hunt is looking a lot more like his early season self. Mark Ingram was another big name that paid off with 77 reception yards while scrambling for 74 yards and two touchdowns. Fifty of those yards came from one touchdown run in garbage time that made a lot of fantasy owners very happy.

Possibly the biggest news this week came out of Pittsburgh with Antonio Brown suffering a torn calf. The timetable is still out for Brown’s return, but in the meantime look for Juju, Bryant and Rogers to pick up some of Brown’s slack.
