Week 13 NFL Review
The top three fantasy scorers, (Alex Smith, Tyreke Hill, and Josh McCown) all came out of the Chiefs – Jets matchup. Alex Smith had a monster game as he threw for over 350 yards and four touchdowns, with a single rush for 70 yards to go with it. On top of all that, all four of his passing touchdowns were over 20 yards. But the Jets still managed to pull out the win, handing the Chiefs their fourth straight loss. In New Orleans Alvin Kamara was the number four fantasy player this week as he continues to stay red hot putting up 27.1 points against a good Panthers defense. Kamara found the end-zone twice, extending his touchdown streak to six games.
There were two big suspensions this week in the NFL. The first was handed out to Gronk for a late hit on Bills cornerback Tre’Davious White. Gronk dove onto White as he was laying facing down after the play. And then on Tuesday it was announced JuJu Smith-Schuster will be suspended one game for his vicious hit and subsequent taunting of Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict. Make sure to stay away from those two next week.
In Atlanta Julio Jones followed up his 44.8 point performance with a mere two receptions for 24 yards. No one on the Falcons had any luck in the end zone as they lost to the Vikings 14-9. The Niners never found the end zone either in Jimmy Garroppolo’s first start for San Francisco. However, Jimmy ended up bringing home the rare W for the Niners as they topped the Bears 15-14 to move to 2-10.
