Week 10 NFL Recap
Week 10 was business as usual in the NFL; besides the Niners picking up their first win there weren’t any real surprises. The Rams had another decisive victory this week, topping the Watson-less Texans 33-7. The story of the game was Robert Woods, who had his second straight two TD game, to go along with 171 receiving yards. His 33.1 fantasy points led all receivers this week. In Buffalo, the Saints picked apart the Bills for 47 points in their big victory. Mark Ingram found the end zone three times on 131 yards in the blowout. DeMarco Murray also found pay dirt three times, once by air and twice on the ground, in the Titans 24-10 victory over the Bengals. That was the first game since week four of last year that Murray had multiple rushing TD’s.
The best fantasy performance of the week came from Cam Newton on Monday night. Newton threw for four TD’s and topped 250 passing yards for the first time since week five. He also had 95 yards on the ground thanks to a huge 69 yard third quarter scramble. All in all, he had 35.7 fantasy points as he led the panthers to a franchise record 548 total yards and a win against the Dolphins.
It was a disappointing week for some of the top RB’s as McCoy, Fournette, and Gordon all failed to reach 8 fantasy points. A banged up Dez also put up disappointing numbers, only recording 39 yards on four receptions.
