Draftboard is offering a $2,000 referral bonus for this job!

👩💼 Role: Growth Lead - Marketplace
🔢 Experience: 1-5 years
🌎 Location: United States (Remote) or Israel
Companies routinely offer referral bonuses for new hires, but they limit those bonuses to just their own employees. Why? Enter Draftboard, a marketplace where companies publicly post what they'll pay if someone successfully refers them a new hire and Scouts (referrers) compete to earn that referral bonus by scouring their networks for the best talent they know. Over 50 leading tech companies are already using Draftboard, including Via, Formlabs, Seatgeek, MyFitnessPal, OpenPhone and many more, and we're backed by leading early stage investors in the US.
We're looking to make our first Growth hire at Draftboard!
This is a critical role that's entirely focused on recruiting & acquiring new Scouts (aka Referrers - people who will source & refer great candidates to jobs listed on Draftboard). And note: this role will require grit and getting your hands dirty because you'll be building up this function from scratch.
We've identified a handful of personas who we think are the highest value Scouts right now (and from which we already have over 650 Scouts), but you will be free to test, iterate and explore new persona types as you see fit.
Are these future Scouts on Reddit? Discord? In Slack or WhatsApp groups? Twitter?
Are they in groups/channels/threads whose core topic is hiring? Referrals? Tips for job seekers?
Do they run existing communities? Do they have newsletters that reach thousands of people? Do they have an existing job board solution right now that isn't working for them?
This role is interesting - for the right person - because it requires a combination of online community fluency, marketing, social media savvy and sales.
Are you up for the challenge?
What we want to see:
- 1-5 years of experience in growth, sales, marketing or social media
- Fluency & interest in online communities
- Hunter mindset
- Creative hustler
- Team player
- Open to feedback
